Gaming Calculators: GTA 6 Cost, Storage and Release Time

Last updated: November 8, 2026 Source note: This calculator is provided for educational estimates. Check official sources or a qualified professional before making high-stakes decisions.

Use these gaming calculators to plan a GTA VI purchase: what it costs, whether it fits on your console, how long it takes to download, and when you can start playing.

Work out the cost

The GTA VI Cost Calculator adds the edition you choose, a PS5 if you need one and any extras you enter, then divides the total by the hours you expect to play. It uses list prices from PlayStation, so retail offers can be lower. Xbox prices are not preset, so enter your own.

Check the storage

PlayStation asks for a minimum of 212 GB of free space on PS5. The GTA VI Storage Calculator compares that with the free space your console reports, plus a margin and a patch allowance, and tells you how many gigabytes to delete. No separate Xbox install size had been published when this page was last checked on 8 November 2026.

Find your release time

Rockstar says the game releases at midnight local time on 19 November 2026 in all regions, so it arrives at a different moment in each timezone. The GTA VI Release Time Calculator shows your moment, a live countdown and the pre-load time for your platform. Pre-load opens on 10 November 2026, at local midnight on PS5 and at 12 a.m. GMT on Xbox.

Estimate the download time

The GTA VI Download Time Calculator turns your line speed into a download time for the 212 GB PlayStation minimum. You can change the share of advertised speed you actually get and the hours a day the console can download. At 100 Mbps with 80% of that speed it gives about 5h 53m.

How to use these together

Start with cost to decide whether and how to buy, then check storage before pre-load opens, then estimate the download time, then use the release time to plan when you start. Storage is the step most likely to need work. If your console shows 300 GB free and you keep a 20 GB margin, 212 GB leaves 88 GB spare. If it shows 231 GB, you are 1 GB short.

These are planning estimates, not official figures. Release dates, prices and file sizes can change, so check the store page for your console before you buy or delete anything.
