How much does GTA VI cost?
PlayStation lists Grand Theft Auto VI at £69.99 for the Standard Edition and £89.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the UK. In the US the prices are $79.99 and $99.99. The calculator uses those list prices, so the Ultimate difference shown is £20.00 or $20.00.
That figure is the gap between the two list prices, not an upgrade price. PlayStation’s UK page lists the stand-alone Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on as unavailable at the time of writing, so do not plan on upgrading later at that price.
The game is announced for PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S, and is released on 19 November 2026. It will not be on PS4.
What each edition includes
PlayStation’s UK page lists the Standard Edition as the game, the Vintage Vice City Pack, one month of GTA+ and a nine-day pre-load. The Ultimate Edition adds the Ultimate Edition Upgrade to that list. The page does not spell out what the upgrade contains, so compare it on the store page before you pay more.
The GTA+ month comes with a digital pre-order on the PS Store. PlayStation says it must be claimed before 31 March 2027, that it auto-renews, and that the offer can be claimed once per account. If you do not want a subscription, cancel before it renews. The calculator does not price GTA+ after the first month.
How to use the estimate
Pick your region and edition, then say whether you need a console. The calculator adds the game, the console and your extras, then divides by the hours you expect to play.
- A UK buyer who owns a PS5 pays £69.99 for the Standard Edition, which is £1.40 an hour over 50 hours.
- A UK buyer who also needs a PS5 and takes the Ultimate Edition pays £659.98, or £6.60 an hour over 100 hours.
- A US buyer who needs a PS5 Digital Edition and takes the Standard Edition pays $679.98.

Cost per hour of play
The game price is fixed, so cost per hour is mostly a question of how long you play. These figures are for the UK Standard Edition when you already own a console.

Console prices
Sony’s price announcement lists the UK prices as £569.99 for the PS5, £519.99 for the PS5 Digital Edition and £789.99 for the PS5 Pro. The US prices are $649.99, $599.99 and $899.99. These apply from 2 April 2026.
In the UK the PS5 Pro costs £220.00 more than the PS5 and the disc PS5 costs £50.00 more than the Digital Edition. In the US the gaps are $250.00 and $50.00.
Retailers often discount consoles, so enter your own price with the other console option if you have a better deal. Xbox prices are not preset, so use the same option for an Xbox.
Practical tips
- Cost per hour falls fast with play time. Change the hours field to see how a longer playthrough changes the figure.
- Storage matters. The game asks for 212 GB on PS5, so check it fits with the GTA VI Storage Calculator before you buy a drive.

Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?
That depends on what it includes, and the calculator only prices the difference. At list prices the Ultimate Edition costs £20.00 or $20.00 more, so compare that with the contents on the store page.
Does the total include a subscription?
No. Online play or store subscriptions are not priced here. The GTA+ month that comes with a digital pre-order auto-renews, so add it to the other extras field if you plan to keep it.
Why are my console and accessory prices blank?
Accessory prices change often and differ by shop, so the calculator asks for yours rather than guessing.
Are Xbox prices included?
No. No Xbox console or game price was captured from a primary source when this page was checked on 8 November 2026. Use the other console option and enter your own figure.
